Southern Series Round 1 - Wasing Estate Park, Reading

The first round of the Southern Series was held this weekend at the new venue for the second round of the National Series. Ben took the decision to take the trip South to test out the venue and also pick up some valuable ranking ppoints as he looks to jump straight into Elite next season.

Ben is also looking to race himself fit after a struggle for form in recent weeks and this would be a good test against some decent competition. Starting at a steady pace, Ben soon took control of the race and went on to record a comfortable victory giving him the self belief that things are finally starting to click. Next week he heads into the Midlands for some more reginal racing at Hanchurch Woods.

Ben picked up some admirers with his bike skills showing the crowd exactly how to ride the technical sections and was featured in the British Cycling Report.
