Southern XC Round 1 – Mapledurham, Oxfordshire

The whole team had ear marked the Southern series as the series to do so awoke in great anticipation of racing only to find a white blanket covering the south of the UK!  Initial thoughts were, can’t wait to race in the snow but on considering our options realised that it was far too dangerous to attempt the drive around the M25 and not worth the risk.

 

However it was just a short distance away from one of our newest Monkey’s and he took advantage of the situation by taking the trip up the icy road to Mapledurham for some fun in the snow.

 

Brodie did well to finish in what started out to be an icy hard packed course soon turned into a mud bath making the course more like a running race.  Brodie eventually came home in 20^th position picking up some valuable points as he looks for his Expert license.
