Southern XC Championships – Alton, Hants

Once again the Southern round at Alton proved to be a mud bath but that didn’t stop our brave Monkey’s from taking on the challenging technical course and not only finishing but pulling out some brilliant results.

As normal, Alex was first to go in the Juvenile category up against his main challenger for the season Hugo Robinson. After a big crash from Alex leaving him battered and bruised it was Hugo who came out on top in this encounter with Alex doing well to pick himself up and finish in 2^nd place.

Next to go was the hotly contested youth category and Ben showed once again that he is in with a shout at the upcoming National championships by finishing a comfortable 4^th. It wasn’t such a good day for Nat who struggled after a gruelling training week finishing 15^th.

Brodie was our only senior rider to take the mud head on, literally, and showed his determination to move into the Expert category next year by finishing in a good position to pick up some more valuable points.

So once again the Monkey’s soldiered on in the muddy conditions and came up trumps with some great results!
