K Capital Cup RD 2 – Moneyscalp Woods, County down, N.Ireland

Our new Elite rider entered into an ambitious weekend of racing with a hilly Time Trial either side of a trip to Ireland to compete in the K Capital Cup and it was not to be as fatigue seemed to take its toll and confine him to his first DNF this year.

The course itself was tough and very technical with lots of singletrack, and after a perfect start Paul was riding alongside one of the Belgium riders for the first lap, seemingly comfortable until a mistake in a technical section which seemed to spell out the beginning of the end.  A series of errors and a lap later and it was all over. 

 

As normal a lesson was learnt and there was experience gained and Paul will now head into some minor races before the first NPS race at Thetford in Norfolk on 12^th April.
